Illustrated in original Indian ink, wash, and hand-coloured drawings. It is the story of a journey through Italy; Turin, Milan, Ravenna, Florence, Genoa, with, on the return, a visit to the Colonial Exhibition in Marseille. Fine calligraphy throughout, illustrated with several fine watercolours.

Quarto, contemporary quarter binding in calf, marbled boards, illustrated and lettered in ink to spine. Boards lightly rubbed. In good condition. Illustrated in original Indian ink, wash and hand coloured drawings. Manuscripts and drawings are by the hand of the author, Monsieur Jolas. Coloured plates in order: 1. Title page. 2.
