A magnificent series of views by the English artist Morison (1810-1847), who died while still young. The first edition of the views of the palaces, castles, and hunting lodges in the duchy of Saxe-Coburg-Gotha.

Folio, dedication, preface, lithographed title, and 20 tinted lithographs, coloured and heightened with gum arabic, plates mounted and preserved in a half green morocco over cloth boards portfolio. Lettered direct to upper board, hinges rubbed and worn. Bookplate of 'Norman R. Bobins' to front pastedown. The drawings were made on the spot, at places suggested by Albert, the Prince Consort.
