Fully tooled and blind-stamped brown morocco. Spine with raised bands blind-stamped design between panels and gilt title. All edges are gilt. Marbled endpapers. New and Revised Edition. Quarto. iv 408pp Index. Twenty-one hand-coloured full-page plates with tissue guards. Binding lightly rubbed at edges with corners bumped. Joints tight. Contents with front hinge cracked and holding firm. Occasional offsetting minor foxing and marginal smudging. Plates with margins toned and with some smudging. The plate of "Lady Catherine Duer" with above-average marginal soiling. This copy of a rather common title is most unusual with its coloured plates, which are virtually unknown.
