Each plate is divided into three panels; in total, the work contains upwards of 350 subjects designed to engage and enlighten the youth. Bohny's theories for the education of young people anticipate Froebel's work by utilizing entertaining visual imagery as the primary means of instruction. The illustrations are unusually imaginative, and the hand colour is of high quality. In 1930 Gumuchian referred to this work as "one of the most popular and entertaining books for young children of the period, inspired by the German kindergarten method. Coloured plates in order: 1.
