FIRST EDITION in English by Mrs. Cashel Hoey and Mr. John Lillie. 4to. 293pp. 21 fine and brightly coloured full-page plates depicting women's fashions. Original publisher's binding of quarter mustard coloured cloth and wood veneer boards; pictorial upper board featuring a gilt title and a mirror and peacock feather; title in gilt to spine; all edges gilt; patterned endpapers. Spine and boards soiled; veneer chipped along in binding. The front hinge is cracked and worn; Plates and text are fine. The armorial bookplate of "T.B. Johnston" to front pastedown.
