SEMPLE, Miss.
The Costume of the Netherlands.
Miss Semple seems to have known the country and its inhabitants, and seems to have had little trouble in getting them to pose for her. Her brief descriptions of the illustrations are a joy, full of wit and acute observation and understanding, and are given in English and French.
