ROBERTS, Peter.
The Popular Antiquities of Wales.

A first edition of this study of Welsh customs and superstitions. Roberts (1760-1819) was a Church of England clergyman and antiquarian and wrote three books on Wales, of which this is the third. Cambrian Popular Antiquities collected numerous folk stories, including Arthurian legend, and records ancient traditions still enacted, such as various funeral rites.
