Folio. pp. 42 [1 leaf]. 13 hand-coloured lithographed plates (incl. frontis./title) after drawings by W.Perring & J.Brown (one printed on darker paper). Original blind & gilt-stamped red roan central garter badge with black morocco inlay & surmounted by a gilt crown; gilt corner pieces incorporating royal arms all edges gilt (front joint & extremities worn hinges strengthened some scattered mainly light foxing while affecting plate margins barely visibly affecting images). MS inscription on front blank dated Dec 1838 [Cork] indicating that the book was issued in that year. A FIRST EDITION. Coloured plates in order: 1. Title page. 2. Victoria. 3. The Fair Forester.
