A very attractive early 18th century Prayer Book with text ruled in red throughout. Complete.

Bound in contemporary black Morocco with a pair of silver clasps and corner pieces. Covers with minor rubbing and shelf wear. Recently professionally re-backed. Faded gilt decorated border design. Spine with five raised bands featuring a vertical blind-ruled pattern. Compartments with faded gilt floral design. A.E.G. With inner dentelles. With two functioning silver clasps, and attractive yellow, red, and blue marbled endpapers. Text is generally clean and crisp with a strong impression, decent margins throughout. Provenance: "Anne Vavasoun" signed in a neat black contemporary hand. Text in two column black letter font. All text ruled in red throughout. The Book of Common Prayer is bound with the Psalms of David and the Companion to the Altar. Coloured plates in order: 1. Frontispiece. The Liturgy of the Church of England (slightly cropped). 2.
