Oblong folio. 290 x 390 mm. 25 tinted and coloured lithographs, of which 24 by Ad. Cuvillier and one by T. Muller [plt. 30] printed by Lemercier & Cie Paris; some occasional foxing to blank borders; original light brown cloth upper cover lettered in gilt. Pencil signature (?) of 'Norman Dodge' and MS inscription 'Presented to Paul Priest by Mrs. N.W. Dodge. March 16th, 1907 Nyack, New York'. on a prelim. The prints were combined in various formats and different sequences. This variation was possibly done at the behest of the purchaser as it would have been a reasonably simple matter to choose from a selection of plates and have them bound in a standard cloth portfolio. This example has the printed bookplate of 'Norman W. Dodge' who was a successful and somewhat unscrupulous lumber merchant of the latter part of the nineteenth century. Coloured plates in order: 1. Geneve et le Mont Blanc. 2. Geneve Vue du Port de Rive. 3. Geneve et le Mont Blanc. 4. Le Mont Blanc depuis Sallenche. 5. Chamouni et le Mont Blanc. 6. Chamouni et le Glacier des Bois. 7. Le Mer de Glace. 8. Le Mont Blanc, vu du Chapeau Camouni. 9. Hospice du St. Bernard et le Mont Velan. 10. Le Mont Cervin et le Lac Noir. 11. Chillon au Lac de Geneve. 12. Le Lac de Geneve, vu du Glion. 13. Montreux. 14. Vevey. 15. Lausanne. 16. Fribourg. 17. Berne. 18. Thun et les Alpes Bernoises. 19. Interlaken. 20. Le Staubach-Vallee de Lauterbrunnen. 21. La Jungfrau. 22. La Jungfrau vue de la Wengernalp. 23. Grindelwald - (Oberland Bernois). 24. Chapelle de Tell. 25. Chite du Rhin.
