RICHARDSON, Thomas Miles.
Sketches on the Continent: A Series of Views in France, Italy, Switzerland, Germany, Holland...in 1837.
Thomas Miles Richardson (1784–1848) was an English landscape-painter. He worked chiefly in watercolour, and found most of his subjects in the scenery of the Borders and the Scottish Highlands, though in later life he went as far afield as Italy and Switzerland.This work offers 9 fine plates of the Italian Lakes; others are of Chillon in Switzerland, the Savoy, and the Rhine.
