Perles et Parures.
"Gavarni's designs become fashion plates of the first order" - (Ray). The plates are of particular interest because, in this format, they are printed on sheets with ornate and delicate stencil-cut lace pattern frames and borders. The plates "are studies of beautiful women, fashionably attired for the most part, which was drawn in London.
