Folio (345 x 240 mm) contemporary half morocco, raised bands in gilt to spine, title in gilt to spine, marbled boards (tips worn/rubbed but quite sound). Title page with longitudinal crease and (like next leaf) with bottom margin frayed and small corner loss but nowhere near the printed area which has over 2.5" of clean margin. About ten further leaves are frayed and/or dusty; some have had minor repairs, but none of the damage near the printed area a few short tears without loss. Some foxing to title page & a few other pages the plates have offset to the facing page in many cases making a slightly darker area on the text. A little finger soiling to the margins, but all the lovely lively hand-coloured plates are bright with plate numbers to the upper corner artist and engraver named with the Orme's details below the illustrations and various dates in 1807. This Orme 2nd edition is otherwise undated but is probably earlier than the H.R. Young 2nd edition of 1819. It is through-paginated in one volume with continuous signatures and printed by W.
