Contemporary speckled calf, gilt pattern to boards, spine with raised bands with elaborate gilt compartments, morocco title label to second compartment, re-spinned. Marbled endpapers. Both the text and the illustrations were provided by Repton for this amusing publication which includes the essays 'On Love' 'On Cheating' 'Voyage to the Moon' 'To the Hon. Mrs. B. and her two Sisters in 1783 with some Norfolk dried Apples and a Glee' 'On a Clog found in the Carriage which had taken home Miss Marsh and two other Ladies' and a play entitled 'Odd Whims or Two at a Time; a Comedy in Five Acts'.
