Second edition. 4to, 105pp., 38 plates of which some are coloured, others not, some folding plans, modern 3/4 tan calf over marbled boards, red leather title label and gilt to spine, speckled edges, fresh endpapers, spine lightly 'sunned.' MS signature to the title page 'John Chatwood, Oct 21st, 1812'. The plates show farm buildings and rural improvements recently executed. Much of this work is Loudon's improvements to Tew Lodge Farm in Oxfordshire between 1808 & 1810. The second half of the work details his work at Wood Hall Farm and Kenton Lane Farm in Middlesex. As well as designing, Loudon, at one time, also edited five monthly horticultural publications, beginning in 1826. Loudon's wife was a horticultural writer of some note. Coloured plates in order: 1.
