TONSBERG, Niels Christian.
Norske Nationaldragter...

A beautiful collection of plates depicting Norwegian costumes in color lithographs, taken from the drawings of Christian Tonsberg. Norway had only been a (nominally) independent kingdom for less than forty years when this work was published: it stands as not only an interesting record and beautiful costume book but also as a symbol of Norway's new-found national pride.
