[Monuments of India - Watercolour Album]

An excellent album of watercolour and pen and ink hand-coloured miniatures was collected by Elisabeth Douno (B. Lady Hay, 1820-1904, Duchess of Wellington) while visiting architectural highlights in India for ten years before India came under British rule in 1858. It includes views of Taj Mehal, Fort of Lahore... Each monument has been named by hand with ink in front of or on the back of each illustration.
