4to. Damaged yellow wrappers with an engraved front wrapper. With 6 hand-coloured engravings by J. Laroque after designs by Grasset-Saint Saveur. (2), 8, 3, (1) pp. The text is part of 'Costumes civils actuels de tous les peuples connus' (1784-87), whereas the plates and the wrappers belong to 'Encyclopédie des voyages', which was published in installments in 1795-96. Good copy.- (library ticket on front wrapper). Coloured plates in order: 1. Hottentot. 2. Hottentote. 3. Negre Namaquas. 4. Negresse Namaquas. 5. Sauvage de la Terre de Natal. 6. Sauvagesse de la Terre de Natal.
