CASTRO, J.
J. Campillo, L. Buda, G. Rodriguez.
Mexico y sus Alrededories. Colleccion de Moumentos, Trajes y Paisajes...
A beautiful book on Mexico’s monuments, costumes, and landscapes— it was intended for an international audience. for instance, there is a print illustrating vendors sell their goods at the Sunday market near the National Palace in the heart of Mexico City. Despite its recognizable location, this is an idealized scene meant to reveal the distinctive character of Mexican dress. One of the most important books illustrating Mexico City and vicinity. Abbey notes that: "The draughtsmanship and lithography is of a very high standard"
