[Parisian children. Games, exercises, and amusements.] SCARCE. Oblong folio [325 × 465 mm.] decorative title printed in blue gold brown, and silver six hand-coloured tinted lithographic plates very light spotting to margins; original pale green boards embossed with pagodas and equestrian figures; a little rubbed and stained. Fresh title to spine, re-spined in green cloth. The six plates are all beautifully engraved and coloured, with some areas finished with a layer of gum arabic. The fashionably dressed children are playing horses pulling a carriage, girls visiting a goatherd in a bucolic landscape and feeding the goat, a traveling entertainer with a trained monkey or children gardening, etc. *Rebinding and restoration work on this book was carried out by Ron Norman of Hartlepool.
