A lovely book, illustrating the journey from Simplon to Milan, a distance of about 130 km. Simplon is a municipality in the district of Brig in the canton of Valais in Switzerland.

Cm. 13, pp. (10) 207 (1). Frontespizio inciso con veduta centrale e 12 deliziose tavole fuori testo incise all'acquatinta ed in fine coloritura coeva. Leg. edit. in cartonato rigido interamente decorato, tagli dorati e custodia orig. con titoli a stampa. Qualche sporadica fioritura, peraltro esemplare genuino ed in ottimo stato di conservazione. Viaggetto pittoresco in forma di almanacco arricchito dalle belle vedute di citta. Frontispiece engraved with a central view and 12 delightful plates out of text engraved with aquatint and in fine coeval coloring. Leg. edit. fully decorated rigid cardboard, gilded cuts, and original with printed titles. Some sporadic flowering, however, a genuine specimen in excellent condition. Picturesque journey in the form of an almanac enriched by the beautiful views of the city.In original pictorial paper boards and accompanying slipcase.
