4to. (20.2 x 12.7 cm); double column, 11 lines black nasta'liq script with annotated margins extending outwards copied in the same hand, text incomplete at the end, many leaves with paper repairs and heavy restoration. Date of 1122 Hijri given at the end of the manuscript, this probably added later or taken from a different manuscript (part of repair to final leaf). In contemporary red leather binding; stamped in blind; with worn paper label to spine, extremities rubbed. Coloured plates in order: 1. Man with donkey / Ruler standing before his council. 2. Royal lady sitting in a tent, attended by servants. 3. Ruler lying down, attended by two ladies. 4. A doctor seeing to a patient. 5. Wiseman, with another man and animals. 6. Ruler dispensing wisdom to some members of his harem. 7. Ruler and a Wiseman. 8. Ruler and his Queen. 9. Members of the Royal Court. 10. A public meeting. 11. A Wiseman giving counsel to men of the Royal Court. 12. Members of the harem. 13. A lady of the court and her servant, a goat at her feet. 14. A Royal meeting. 15. Ruler meets with a soothsayer (?), with various animals in attendance. 16. Wiseman and his audience. 17. Man meets another man outside his house. 18. Man embraces a dog while a woman watches from a nearby window. 19. Man on horseback, attended by a servant on foot. 20. A bowl is brought to the Ruler, sat upon his throne by a servant. 21. Ruler and his Queen converse. 22-23. Members of the court converse. 24. Ruler meets with other members of the court. 25. Ladies bathing. 26. Queen, with her servants. 27. Wiseman and scholars. 28. Wiseman and his audience of men. 29. Wiseman and woman. 30. Members of the court. 31. Wiseman and two men. 32. Small, highly decorated illumination.
