Endpapers renewed some spotting to to text and binding, some small paper restoration. Six raised bands to spine, with gilt decoration to compartments. Lettered in gilt to the second compartment. Stamped and ruled in blind to covers. First edition of Stoke's medieval rhyming chronicle (885-1305) with additions by Cornelis van Alkemade. These fine series of 35 engraved plated including 31 full-length portraits on 31 plates, 1 folding with 2 portraits, 1 plate depicting death. Plates of the reigning princes of Holland were engraved after paintings in the Carmelite Monastery at Haarlem.
