Illustrated with a portrait of Willem II on the title page and 9 hand-coloured lithographs of the participants in the Feesttogten. The last 18 pages contain the names of the honor guards from all parts of the country. Coloured lithographs of guards of honour, student resilience, and other groups from various Dutch cities.

[Commemorative Book of the Inauguration and Festivities of His Majesty William II 1840-1842.] Good condition. A beautiful presentation copy, printed with gold & silver. Small folio. Red velvet presentation binding, gold-stamped with royal arms on the upper board. The King's military attributes are on the lower board, with crowns set into the four corners. Orange watered-silk endpapers, all gilt edges, the spine is 'sunned,' joints slightly worn, but alright. Coloured plates in order: 1. Aan Zijne Majesteit Koning Willem Frederik, Graaf van Nassau. 2.
