Respond in matching brown leather, with full calf, boards attractively tooled in blind; all edges gilt; gilt inner dentelles; boards rubbed; new inner hinges, occasional foxing and marking to contents, corners strengthened. 2pp lacking bottom right-hand corner (no loss to text) occasional small edge tears; MS inscription to a prelim: "Given to William & Ellen Jolly on their wedding May 28th, 1851 by their cousin Fred Most." generally a good copy. *Rebinding and restoration work on this book was carried out by Ron Norman of Hartlepool.
