FIRST EDITION. Landscape folio (36 x 22 cm approx.) Complete set of 12 hand-coloured lithographs; light finger soiling to fore-edge margins; old ink numbering to upper right-hand corner; later fine red half morocco over marbled boards with gilt fillet to boards and spine, lettered in gilt to spine; an excellent set. A SCARCE set of plates published without a title. The images show either three mounted or eight dismounted figures on a sheet. The images are based on the designs of Edward Hull, and Ogilby notes that colour variations exist, showing different regiments. In 1855 a second series of plates was published with a title page.
