Three coloured lithographic plates and a map with some colour concerning the civil war between Germany and Denmark in the late 1840s connected with the battle of the hotly disputed region of Schleswig-Holstein. In its original blue paper wrapper with an ornate title and eight delightful vignettes of the action. Lithographs are slightly toned and marked but in good condition. All are housed in a splendidly sturdy half-cloth solander-type box with marbled boards, title in gilt to the spine, on a black leather label. Coloured plates in order: 1.
