A rare suite of six original colour lithographs, each with titles in Spanish and French, depicting various stages of a bullfight, and is known for its depiction of the strength and movement of the bull, and the tension of the event.

FIRST EDITION of Dore's suite of bullfighting lithos. Folio, six original coloured lithographs, each plate with the title 'Corrida de Toros,' and individual captions in Spanish and French, loose as was originally issued. Mounted and housed in a black cloth-backed clamshell box, lettered in gilt to spine. Coloured plates in order: 1. Chute d'un Picador. 2. Banderillero piquant la Banderilla. 3. Banderillero excitant le Taureau. 4. Torero enleve par le Taureau. 5. Coup de Lance. 6. Coup d'Epee.
