ALLOM, Thomas.
Character and Costume in Turkey and Italy.

The beautiful engravings (by Hullmandel after Thomas Allom’s original works) are complemented by Emily Reeve’s descriptions, providing historical and cultural detail to the scenes depicted. The descriptions are paired with a few verses of poetry about each subject, written by eminent contemporary English poets.
