Lovely visual presentation of this Prussian regiment. William, Duke of Brunswick (Wilhelm August Ludwig Maximilian Friedrich; 25 April 1806 – 18 October 1884), was the ruling duke of the Duchy of Brunswick from 1830 until his death.

Brunswick – Military history of the 7th. Kürassier-regiment of Duke Wilhelm of Brunswick. Brunswick, Moriz Schwarzbach. Vienna, 31. December 1863. 400 pages. Detailed handwritten history of a Brunswick Cuirassier regiment with hand-coloured illustrations. Sumptuous manuscript from the military library of the Hannover Royal Dynasty, lavishly illustrated with ten large portraits of mounted regiment members and eight detailed maps in bright colours. Bound in costly full calf leather with brass fittings to boards - complete with clasp, blocked in blind to spine and boards. All edges gilt. Good condition throughout. Geschichte des K.K. 7.ten Kürassier-Regimentes Herzog Wilhelm von Braunschweig. Handschrift von Moriz Schwarzbach. Ca. 400 Seiten in deutscher Handschrift, 10 farbige Handzeichnungen, 8 handgezeichnete, aquarellierte Karten. Großfolio (31 x 28,5 cm), brauner Kalblederband mit Messingbeschlägen: Vorderdeckel mit ingraviertem Titel auf ovaler Platte, 8 Eckbeschläge, 1 Schließe. Goldschnitt. Äußerst aufwändig gefertige Regimentsgeschichte in gestochener Handschrift mit breitem Rand. Angefügt sind 10 blattgroße Illustrationen in kräftigen Aquarell- und Deckfarben, die Regimentsglieder in Uniform und zu Pferd zeigen. Zwei der detaillierten Karten sind sehr großformatig, mehrfach gefaltet und auf Leinen aufgezogen. Sie zeigen die Schlacht bei Peterwardein, die Schlacht bei Belgrad am 16. August 1717, den Plan der Belagerung von Temeswar, den Plan des Schlachtfeldes bei Parma, u.a. - Aus der Militärbibliothek des Hannoverschen Königshauses.
