MASSON, Frederic.
Cavaliers de Napoleon.
Napoleon's use of cavalry was devastating and unique. The staff, heavy cavalry, light cavalry, and reserve cavalry are studied in minute detail based on records and memoirs. This is not only a definitive study but a beautifully illustrated example of French lithographic art. Finely illustrated after watercolors by Detaille. Jean Baptiste Edouard Detaille is a history painter famous for his military scenes.
