Oblong quarto, chromolithographed title decorated in brilliant royal blue and in gilt. There are twenty-four hand-coloured lithographed plates mounted on brown washed paper and title in manuscript with thin black ink rule with ornate borders. Full morocco gilt with morocco inlays. Gilt inner dentelles, all edges gilt, white silk endpapers. Bookplate of 'John Burges Canac' to front pastedown. With fresh inner cloth hinges, reinforced corners, etc. Rebinding and restoration work on this book was carried out by Ron Norman of Hartlepool (Ronnorn@aol.com) Coloured plates in order: 1.
