With chapters of textual information only, on certain geographical regions. Includes a large, hand-coloured folding sheet containing all of the world's national flags as they appeared in 1840. Many countries had more than one flag represented. Some flags for 'Merchantman' and one for 'Man of War.' Approx 97 flags are depicted.
