A charming album with Tyrollean costumes by the painter, engraver, and lithographer Johann Georg Schedler (1777-1866), a student of J. K. Huber at Zurich. Schedler studied at the Academies of Augsburg and Vienna; he published several plates with Tyrollean views and costumes, which were published in hand-colour.

Folio (295 x 225 mm). Album with 21 etchings (of which 19 signed), hand coloured, all mounted on brown paper. Contemp. red morocco, spine in gilt compartments, gilt-edge borders, gilt inner dentelles, boards scuffed and worn. In 1809 his etchings of Andreas Hofer were published. Coloured plates in order: 1.
