Among the most interesting pieces, both for their illustration and story, are "Un Bal masque, drame" by Alexandre Dumas and "Physiologie D'Un Appartement" by Eugene Sue. In many respects, this is a near-perfect copy. The boards have been replaced with lovely moire silk over the boards. The original gilt-decorated spine has been preserved. The interior is tight and clean. Beautiful moire endpapers. All edges are gilt. The faint impression of a bookplate is now gone on the front-end paper. All this is boxed in a modern marbled jacket and slipcase box, both of which are very handsome. Morocco spine label on the box. A very scarce title in the original. Fine. Cloth with box.
