COX, David.
A Treatise on Landscape Painting and Effect in Water Colours...

Considered one of the most important early drawing books. Cox's most ambitious work. With the student in mind, it takes the form of many splendid plates, and through a series of progressive lessons from simple line drawings, shown by soft-ground etchings, to elaborate and highly finished watercolours, shown by coloured aquatints.
