BARKER, Henry Aston.
A series of Eight Views, Forming a Panorama of the Celebrated City of Constantinople and its Environs, taken from the Town of Galata...
A magnificent work by Henry Aston Barker, depicting the city of Constantinople (modern-day Istanbul) and its surroundings. The series was created by Barker, drawn on the spot from the town of Galata, and later engraved by Charles Tomkins and aquatinted by Frederick Christian and George Lewis. The work was published in 1813. The panorama provides a 360-degree view of Constantinople and the Bosphorus Strait, showcasing numerous buildings, minarets, mosques, and other structures.
