FIRST EDITION. Octavo, text pp.1-89, litho map of the islands, ten coloured lithographed plates, one double-page, title vignette, and a tailpiece. Original blue coarse cloth, blind-stamped, gilt yacht design to the upper board. Coloured endpapers. Spine worn at top and tail, corners 'bumped'. MS author inscription on a loosely inserted note "E. Tipping with E.H. Greg's kind regards, 1857". Bookplates of 'Paul & Louis Bader' & 'Norman R. Bobins' to front pastedown and front free-endpaper respectively. Coloured plates in order: 1. Frontispiece. Three Rocks called: Grasholm, Findholm & Drag. 2. Passing the Diamonds. 3. Feroese House of the best class. 4. Myling Head as seen from the South. 5.
