8vo contemporary full morocco with elaborate gilt design to boards; spine in six separate raised compartments with gilt lettering and devices, attractive and ornate inner dentelles in gilt, all edges gilt; Re-backed expertly saving the original spine with renewed endpapers. Top of spine chipped and slightly damaged; Extra-illustrated with 136 plates 3 of which are folding and 22 which are hand coloured.P. half-title (1) frontis title printer's imprint vii-xii 1-144.
