Folding maps 4 hand coloured prints plus numerous woodcuts and engravings; woodcuts by Bewick & Nicholson. 4to - 220 x 140 mm; 180pp xxvi 13pp. Contemporary blue calf with gilt fillets; to boards; marbled edges and end papers; red morocco title label to spine; inner gilt dentelles; devices in blind to spine; in very good condition, some pages in red rule; cover lightly bumped some offsetting. AUTHOR'S OWN COPY, signed by him at foot of dedication page. Bookplate: 'Ex Libris Keith W. Murray' to front pastedown. MS signature: 'Colin James Higgins, 1st October 1993' to front free endpaper. Vignette title and 19 plates, 4 of which are coloured and 2 pedigrees. Many of the heraldic shields are in colour and their are 5 extra plates inserted. Coloured plates in order: 1.
