19th-century album 8vo. (28 x 21 cm. approx.) It contains 17 delightful original watercolours that were initialled "B. C." Each is captioned in MS ink below the image. In green half morocco, the gilt title "Eastern Costumes" on upper board, single gilt fillet to boards, raised bands in gilt to spine, with a repeat gilt motif to each separate compartment, all edges gilt. Coloured endpapers. MS signature "H.R. Earp" prelim. Coloured plates in order: 1. Preghiera. 2. Vende dolci. 3. Donna di alta classe. 4. Donna di alta classe in camera. 5. Una povera. 6.
