Clarke’s view shows a relatively undeveloped Thames with the Lord Mayor’s flotilla carefully detailed. Designed to be used by Londoners and tourists alike whilst travelling on the Thames to identify the fine homes, churches and other buildings but were largely novelty items as the constant folding and unfolding made them rather unwieldy.
