The Repository of Arts, Literature, Fashions etc. Third Series. Vol.1 1823.
Published by Ackermann from 1809-1829. Each issue contained sumptuous colour plates depicting fashion, furniture, views, and designs presented in a magazine format. It created the ultimate portrait of early 19th century upper-class England - and was quite a trendsetter in Regency England.

Third series vol 1. 1823. 3/4 red morocco over marbled boards with twin gilt fillets. 'Volume XV' on the spine. Also contains advertisements for "Forget me not a Christmas and New Year's gift for 1823" and "Tour of Doctor Syntax in search of the picturesque." Gilt in rule to boards; flat spine with decorative repeat gilt motifs in compartments, title in gilt to spine. Spine 'sunned' and board extremities rubbed and worn in places; corners 'bumped.' Hinges cracked and worn. Coloured plates protected by tissue guards, text with some toning and offset. Coloured plates in order: Series 3 - Volume 1. Part 1, Jan 1823. 1. Frontis.
