A quarto text volume with brown drab cardboard covers and a damaged and well-worn spine that is uncut. Containing a coloured and folding plan of the 'Settlements in N.S.W.' M.S. signature of 'A & H.C. Hamilton, together with bookplate of: 'Charles R.J. Glover' to front pastedown. Separately are 4 hand-coloured folio aquatint plates, all preserved in an olive coloured linen box. A very decorative gilt and morocco title label on the upper cover. Bookplate of: 'Norman R. Bobins'. These views are possibly the earliest authentic coloured views of any Australian town and certainly the earliest aquatints. The man from whose drawings they were engraved, J.
