Large oblong folio, engraved title in the form of a dedication to George Dance Esq; architect to the City of London, in the form of a sepia coloured monumental tablet, forming part of a composite vignette of London. 6 hand-coloured aquatint plates on thin card, in full blue straight-grained morocco boards, with decorative gilt corner pieces and borders and blind-stamped, spine with elaborate gilt compartments, lettered in the second and fifth compartments, gilt inner dentelles. This work was probably inspired by George Dance personally; William Daniell had engraved an aquatint plate for Dance as part of his scheme for improving the Port of London.
