Illuminated manuscript on paper, section from Juz' 7 of the Qur'an, including the opening to the Surah al-An'am, Ottoman territories, circa 1700. 11 leaves, single column, 11 lines fine black scribal naskh script, surah heading in gilt, gilt roundels marking the verses throughout, housed in contemporary leather over pasteboards with flap, covers centrally stamped in blind with decorative medallion, paper label to upper cover (reading 'the seventh Juz' in Arabic), binding rubbed and rebacked, 325 by 215 mm
