A large 4to sized Qur'an, written in Arabic with interlinear Persian translation throughout, opening two leaves with elaborate blue and gilt decorations to borders, single column, 9 lines of each language per leaf, Arabic script in black naskh, Persian translation in red nasta'liq throughout, surah headings in gold throughout, leaves with polychrome ruling in red, blue and gold throughout, some very light scattered finger soiling, some marginal repairs, else very clean and attractive condition internally. Housed in European leather over pasteboards, decorated in blind and with an embossed central motif in gilt, extremities scuffed and worn. A worn, rubbed matching leather spine, marbled endpapers.
