12mo. viii [2} 784 bound in two handsome volumes in 3/4 red leather and marbled boards, top edge gilt, spine decoratively stamped and ruled with raised bands and lettered in gilt, marbled endpapers. Embellished with 35 circular hand-coloued aquatint plates (measuring 2.5 inches in diameter). This set has two extra plates, "Vittoria" and "Pampeluna." The frontispiece "A Review" is missing and in its place is the plate "Vittoria." Minor rubbing to some of the corners and front joint of volume 1. Tipped on to the front flyleaf of volume 1 is a clipping from an 1899 catalog describing this title. A very clean tight, and attractive set of plates. Coloured plates in order : Volume 1. 1.
