Narrative of a Visit to the Court of Sinde at Hyderabad on the Indus;: with a Sketch of the History of Cutch, and an Appendix
Burnes' record of a journey to the Court of Sindh in 1827 to medically treat Amir Moured Ali includes many interesting observations on the intrigues of Hyderabad court life. The Appendix concerning trade and navigation of the Indus includes contributions from Sir Alexander Burnes, Colonel Pottinger, and Charles Masson.

pp. xviii 168 xviii 74 73. 5 hand-coloured lithograph plates & folding map. Burnes compiled the second work on Cutch from public documents. This edition is the first to have plates. An extremely handsome copy bound in full dark green gilt paneled, ornamented morocco. With the bookplate of Frederick Glasse on front pastedown. Coloured and 'starred' endpapers; all edges gilt. A charming copy in good condition. Coloured plates in order: 1. Frontispiece. A Common Class Sindean. 2. The Port near Luckput. 3. Lah in the Desert. 4. The audacious Synd as sketched by Captain Delhoste. 5. Lowannas or Hindoos of Sinde / Sindean Boy.
